BESPOKE ORDERS

Garment are made to order following an appointment. However if you are not able to come to the London studio and there is something you like online we can have it made to a standard UK size and you can have a local tailor fit it to you.

READY TO WEAR ORDERS

Shipping and Delivery

Customers shopping in Mainland UK or countries within the European Union (EU) are required to pay UK VAT at the current rate.

Customers shopping in RoW (Rest of World) locations, including the Channel Islands, may be liable for Customs, Duties and Taxes. These duties and taxes are established by each local government and are a legal requirement. These charges are payable by the customer. Please note that, if a package is refused on delivery, the customer is still liable to cover all shipping costs. Orders received over the weekend will be processed on the next working day.

United Kingdom Deliveries: We aim to have your order delivered to you within 72 hours. Please note that we aim to deliver orders to Northern Ireland on the second working day after order dispatch. Delivery to the Channel Islands will be treated as a RoW location and you may be liable for customs duties and taxes.

International Deliveries: We aim to have your order delivered to you within a week, subject to customs clearance. Customs Duties and Taxes for the Rest of the World (RoW) are payable by the customer. We ship all orders DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid). Customs duties and taxes will be invoiced to you once the item has cleared customs, either prior to or after delivery depending on your location and you will be invoiced via the courier service. Some countries may require you to hire a broker. The customer is liable for all charges. Customers in RoW locations who return their orders for a refund to Gainsbourg.co.uk are responsible for retrieving any charges for customs duties and taxes. Gainsbourg.co.uk is unable to refund any customs fees or other duties. However, we will do our best to assist you with any information relevant to request a refund.

Returns and Exchanges

Gainsbourg London will consider requests to return a purchase made within fourteen days of delivery. When a return is agreed, please kindly return the item via recorded delivery within three days of this agreement for the return or exchange to be accepted.

Items for return or exchange must be received back unworn and in perfect condition, with garment tags and labels still attached and in the original packaging. Please enclose a copy of the receipt or invoice. The item(s) will then be refunded or exchanged for the total item value paid, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. Customers are liable for shipping costs.

Refunds can only be given via the original method of payment.

Gainsbourg London reserves the right to refuse a refund or exchange on items returned in a condition we deem unfit for resale. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If you have received an unwanted gift that has been purchased from Gainsbourg London, we are happy to offer an exchange item of the same value, proof of purchase is required.

Processing your return

Customers outside the UK are liable for any additional import duties, customs and local sales taxes and are responsible for organising a refund of such charges where an item is returned to Gainsbourg London in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Please allow seven working days for your refund to settle on your account. We aim to process any refund within 3 working days of receipt of your return, PayPal customers may have a slight additional delay due to PayPal Terms and Conditions. Refunds exclude shipping costs, custom duties and taxes (please refer to Customs Duties and Taxes for more information on these charges).

Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, 2000

In addition to our returns service, if based in the EU, you are entitled to the right to cancel your order within seven working days of receiving your order. This is under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, 2000 (DSR’s). Written notice of cancellation of your order must be sent via email to atelier@gainsbourg.co.uk

On receipt of the cancellation email we will provide you with the delivery details. Customers are responsible for returning the order to us and for any charges this occurs. We recommend you send the order back through an insured service that can be tracked. Returned orders which are not delivered back to us are not the responsibility of Gainsbourg London. To cancel your order under the DSR, your order must be returned complete and remain unworn with the tags attached.

Incorrect and faulty goods

Gainsbourg London prides itself on an exceptional finish and attention to detail for each and every piece. We makes each item in the atelier in London where we can oversee and personally verify the quality of each piece. However mistakes can happen and if you suspect that you have received a product with a flaw or fault, please contact us as soon as possible, quoting your order reference number. We will advise how to proceed with the return. If you are returning goods to Gainsbourg London for repair or replacement, please ensure you have previously discussed this with a member of our staff to ensure you receive the best possible care and advice.

PAYMENT

BESPOKE ORDERS

We request a 50% non refundable deposit payment upfront to reserve your booking and to start to the design and make process. Items cannot be started until the deposit has been recieved.

The final 50% payment (including any extra charges, such as design amends, staff expenses for travel to fittings on location, shipping etc will be added here) will be due on collection of the finished item.

An invoice will be issued, you can pay by bank transfer or via credit card.

For online orders we require 100% upfront.

READY TO WEAR ORDERS

Customers can pay via credit card on the online store for all Ready To Wear items in stock.

We can also issue an invoice on request and accept bank transfers, please note that items cannot be shipped until funds have cleared the bank account.
